About us

Hi
We are the Franzen family, Dirk and I, Silke, with our 2 adult children, Niklas and Ronja. The four-legged friends are the two Bearded Collies Lotte and Mathilda and our sweet little Gretchen a Havanese mix. We live right on the French border in beautiful Saarland. In addition to our dogs, we have the garden as another hobby. The roses are our great passion.
I grew up with lots of animals, my sister and I had guinea pigs, rabbits, budgies, turtles, fish & a cat and a cheeky dachshund girl, later a cocker spaniel. Fortunately, our parents were very fond of animals and we were allowed to have animals at home. But my dream was a "brown bobtail", at least that's what I thought it was when I spotted it on the dirt road back then. It wasn't until many years later that I found out it was a Bearded Collie. For me there is no life without a dog, there will always be a dog with me.We got our first own dog in 2000, our Westi girl named Onion. I wanted our children to grow up with dogs just like I did back then. She was a great dog, incredibly intelligent and alert. She had us all under control. In 2010 my soul dog Buh moved in, and our kennel was named after her. I really wanted to include them in the name. Unfortunately Buh was only 4 years old. Unfortunately, we had to let her go due to her serious illness. Onion mourned a lot afterwards, just like all of us. She stopped eating and cried a lot. Then we found our little Gretchen and we were very happy with her.
However, even after many years, I just couldn't let go of the thought of a brown Beardie. Then in 2016 our brown Lotte finally moved in and only four months later her half-sister our blue angel Matihlda.
Dirk's dream was to breed, with the moral support of Andrea Kahler and Conny Kaiser, I gave in to Dirk's wish and I'm really looking forward to our first litter today. In October 2017 we attended the breeder seminar, which we both successfully passed. Afterwards exhibition and all important examinations.
Now the time has come, we hope that our first litter will land in autumn. We're all really looking forward to it. Everyone is rooting for us. My work colleagues and my boss made it possible for me to take turns looking after the puppies around the clock for 9 weeks. We are very happy that you all support us so much THANK YOU💕
